Calibration using the 650 • From the 650 Main Menu: • Select ‘Sonde menu’ • Highlight ‘Calibrate’ • Choose Calibration mode • Follow instructions on screen • Screen will show ‘Calibrated’ when calibration is complete • When screen shows ‘Continue’ press • Press to continue calibration of other sensors

The ‘UNCAL’ Procedure • Access the calibration routine for the sensor you want to ‘uncal’. • Instead of entering numbers • Press and hold the key • Press the key. Quick Tips The Uncal Procedure can be helpful if a calibration was done incorrectly or if an ‘out of range’ calibration was accepted. It resets the unit back to factory calibration.

Logging to the 650Simple Logging • From the Main Menu highlight Logging setup. Press . • The ‘Use site list’ should be inactive. • Set the interval to 5 seconds (00:00:05) and press . • Press . • Highlight Sonde run and press .

Logging to the 650Simple Logging • Enter “Pond” for a file name. • Press . Once you have entered all the information, highlight OK and hit enter. On the 650 side you should see a blinking ‘Sample Logged’
Logging to the 650Using a Site List • Press until you return to the Main Menu. • Under Logging Setup, Highlight ‘Use site list’ and press . • Highlight ‘Edit Site List’ and press . Remember Every file name and site name will take up space in the 650 memory.

Upgrading 650 Software • You will need your PC interface cable. • Download the YSI Code updater from www.ysi.com • Run Installer on your PC • Go to - Start, Programs, YSI Code Updater. • Set the comm port, and press ‘Start Code Update’
Additional Hints • Adjust contrast by holding down the BackLight key and pressing the Up / Down arrow keys • GPS readings can ONLY be logged to 650 memory - the system does NOT support logging to Sonde memory • GPS data is reported different in EcoWatch then what it is on the 650
