CAPACITY BUILDING 24-25 April 2010 Leaders Meeting of East Java Region at Jombang Farmers Forum, and Workshop on ”Value and Supply Chain of Rice and Horticultural Products”. 28 – 30 April 2010 Leaders Meeting of Central Java Region and ”Training-Practicing on Seeds Cross-Breeding” at Organic Rice Farmers Association (APPOLI) in Boyolali District, Central Java.

  4. 3 – 6 May 2010 National Workshop on Modul Drafting of Seeds Application Process and Farmers Breeders Protection, held in Malang, East Java. 12-18 May 2010 Training on Sustainable Agriculture of Rice and Developing the Cultivation of Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) at Farmers’ Organization of Taloa and Karang Tani Samawa, Sumbawa District, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province.

  5. 28-29 June 2010 National Seminar and Workshop on Farmers’ Seeds Cultivation, title : ”Farmers’ Rights on Seeds”, Jakarta. 23-25 July 2010 Organic Rice Farmers Association of Boyolali District participated in “External Inspection Training to Strengthen the Internal Control System (ICS)”.

  6. 28-30 July 2010 Regional Training of West Java, Central Java, East Java, and West Nusa Tenggara on “Gender Analysis for Rural Farmers Women”, in Malang, East Java. 24-27 September 2010 5th General Assembly of Farmers-Fishers of Flores and the islands in order to strengthen farmers in supply chain, food sovereignty, and househols welfare, held in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

  7. 26 October – 2 November 2010 “Training on Cooperative Financial Management to Meet the Financial Standard of PSAK 27” for Farmer Unions in Central Java, West Java, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi, held at Islamic University of Malang (UNISMA), Malang, East Java. 16 – 29 November 2010 Participatory Mapping to Strengthen farmers’ Advocacy for Agrarian Reform.

  8. 14-17 December 2010 7th National Leaders’ Meeting of API’s Board of Farmers, with theme “the Implementation of Agricultural Policy, Market Access and Penetration for Farmers”, held in Jakarta.

  9. Policy Advocacy Agrarian Reform 13 January 2010 Joint Action (API-KIARA-SPI-IHCS-WALHI-KPA-YLBHI) and Application for Judicial Review of Law No. 27/2007 on The Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands (PWP3K) and Opposing the Concession Rights to Coastal Exertion. 8 February 2010 Public Discussion on Seeds Policy and Delivering Solidarity support for Mr. Kuncoro (farmer who detained for seeds Law violation) at the headquater of National Comission on Human Rights, Jakarta.

  10. 23 February 2010 Delivering inputs (position paper) to The Secretariat of Parliament required inputs from farmers related to the revision of Law No.12/1992 on Plant Cultivation System (SBT). 3 March 2010 Dialogue with Provincial Parliament, Head of BPSB (Seeds Body), and Head of Agriculture Extension Office of Kediri District (East Java), and performed Theatrical Art in front of the Parliament Office and State Court in Kediri District, East Java.

  11. 9 April 2010 Mass Mobilization on the Hike of Fertilizer Price (HET) and Government Purchase Price of Rice (HPP). 1 May 2010 Solidarity Mass mobilization for international migrant day.

  12. 9 June 2010 Demanding fulfilment of Agrarian Reform in The 100 Days of SBY–Boediono Administration, Jakarta. 8- 9 July 2010 Mass Action and Marching of Jambi Farmers Union (Persatuan Petani Jambi/PPJ) demanded 40,000 hektares of land.

  13. 17 July 2010 The release of Mr. Kuncoro, a Kediri farmer who cultivates corn seed detained for 7 months due to circulated uncertified corn seeds without permission, from the Kediri Correction House (prison), East Java.

  14. 24 September 2010 Theatrical Arts and Mass Mobilization of 10,000 farmers during National Farmers’ Day, simultaneoulsly held in Jakarta, East Java, Central Java, West Java, Sumatera and Sulawesi.

  15. 21 October 2010 API as resource person in Multistakeholders Dialogue at the Logistical Agency Office (Bulog), also attended by Economy Coordinator Ministerial, Agriculture Ministerial, rice bussiness persons, Press, and NGOs, Jakarta. 8 November 2010 Joint advocating to the Police Headquarter related to the shooting of 2 farmers of Senyerang, Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province (Sumatra) while participating in a mass mobilization to fight for reclaiming of 7,224 hectares of land grabbed by PT. WKS. One farmer found shot to death on his head while other severely wounded.

  16. 8 November 2010 Delivering a solidarity condolence to a peasant family who was shot to death at his head. Jambi Police Mobile Brigade troops were the guardian of PT Wira Karya Sakti. Jambi. 8 November 2010 Legal Voice on MetroTV. Mr. Kuncoro was interviewed in the show “The Ironical of Kuncoro, Seed Cultivator Farmer of Kediri”, Jakarta.

  17. Economic Development A joint marketing to enhance the price of cocoa products of Flores Timur Farmers, a farmers network (Jaringan Petani Wulangitang/JANTAN) in partnership with PT MARS (Exporter), counts 160 tons of dried cocoa per harvest.

  18. Partnership with PT. SEWU SEGAR (free pesticieds golden banana variety) and Lumajang Farmers Union (Serikat Petani Lumajang) to export to Singapore and Bali (30 tons/month of banana products). In cooperation with PT. SBO (Organic Rice Selfsufficient/ Swasembada Beras Organik), Organic Rice Farmers Association supplied to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) counters in Solo, Central Java: 10 tons/month.
