The website within the ERFP ICCI-project • ICCI = ”Improvement of the existing ERFP - communication and co-ordination infrastructure” • lead by the Secretariat • aim: to develop a roadmap for the implementation of the objectives laid down in the ERFP Strategy • one of the features: improvement of the ERFP website to become a more powerful / efficient communication tool for all NCs

Results of the questionnaire • 36 National Coordinators were contacted • 36 % (13) answered - possible explanation: • holidays / short notice or • mirrors the fact that website is of low/no importance to the NCs? • all in all replies tend to the positive: • On average NCs spend 5 - 15 minutes once a month on the site to look for background information resp. check news / dates. • The information is classified by and large useful, accurate and up-to-date. • Re. navigation: there do not seem to be any major problems. • The only additional remarks came from the secretary: add more links related to AnGR and improve on the up-dating. • France suggests to inform NCs via e-mail about news on the site.

Options for improvement • Improvement of content • introduce news by country or sub-region? • introduce forum / listserver(s) for AnGR experts / defined groups in Europe? • Improvement of management • up-dating procedure for addresses, links, documents • definition of responsibilities • hosting the website, up-dating process; responsibility? • listserver(s) needed (NCs and an open one?); moderator needed? • keeping track of latest relevant news • (news) by sub-region • involvement of SC, secretary, NCs • reduction to one language

Open questions • If there is general agreement that ERFP homepage continues, a decision is required on: • Which changes need to be adopted? • Which responsibilities for the different features of the website? • Introduction of a content management system? • Introduction of listserver(s) for NCs and an open one? • Costs for programming / modification of website? • time frame? • Evaluation?
