  2. ฐานข้อมูลของสกาดา 1. Realtime Database Servers เป็นระบบฐานข้อมูลที่ใช้จัดการและเก็บค่าของกระบวนการ ณ เวลาปัจจุบันในขณะใดๆ ค่า realtime จะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามสภาพของกระบวนการที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามเวลา ค่าของกระบวนการจะถูกตรวจจับ (monitor & scan) โดย RTU (Remote Termination Unit) จากนั้น ข้อมูลค่า realtime จะถูกประมวลนำมาแสดงผลบน MMI (Man-Machine Interface) เพื่อให้โอเปอเรเตอร์ รู้ถึงสภาพของกระบวนการ ณ ขณะนั้นๆ ค่า realtime ทุกๆ ค่าจะถูก update ได้ไม่เกินทุกๆ 2 วินาที

Historical Database Servers เป็นระบบฐานข้อมูลที่ใช้จัดการและจัดเก็บค่า Historical Data ของกระบวนการเพื่อใช้ในการ Trending ,Logging ,Statistic และ Report ตัวอย่างของฐานข้อมูลชนิดนี้ คือ XIS (eXtended Information System) ซึ่งถูกสร้างโดยใช้ Sybase Realational Database Management System (RDBMS) ที่เป็นมาตรฐาน
