  3. Divide, 4 goes into 6 one time. So you put a one at the top.

  4. Now, multiply 1 times 4. Place the 4 under the 6.

  5. Subtract the four from the six, which equals 2. Now check to see whether 2 is smaller than the 4. It is, so we can move on.

  7. Then you see how many times 4 goes into 29. It is 7, so you place that at the top. Then 4x7=28 and then 29-28=1. Then you need to check to see if one is smaller than 4. It is, so you can go on.
