  3. Scene Two • What is your intervention plan ( risk management/ protection plan) ? • How to decide whether to leave home or to stay? • What resources are needed?

  4. Scene Three • Who do you believe, the man or the women? • What is your intervention plan? • How to engage the man in treatment when the abuser justify himself, minimize the abuse or blame the victim?

Important Concept • Family Violence Case ≠ Communication Problem or Parenting issues • Risk Assessment = individual interview • Safety more important than Family Reunion • Family left home = High Risk for abuser because they felt lost = best timing for intervention • Intervention = separate social workers for survivor and abuser
