What is a computer? A computer is a programmable machine that receives input, stores and manipulates(copy) data/information, and provides output in a useful format.
What was the first computer? Theanalytical engine was the first computer made by Charles Babbage. The engine is not a single physical machine but a succession of designs that he tinkered with until his death in 1871. The engine could by programmed by punched cards. He realized that programs could be put on these cards so the person had only to create the program initially and then put the cards in and let it run.This machine was also intended to employ several features subsequently used in modern computers, including sequential control, branching, and looping, and would have been the first mechanical device to be Turing-complete.
What was the first colour computer? The Radio Shack TRS-80 Colour Computer (also called Tandy Colour Computer, or CoCo) was a home computer launched in 1980. It was one of the earliest, and most successful, of the early generation of personal computers marketed for home use in English-speaking markets. While the model was eventually eclipsed by the onset of the IBM PC clones, enthusiasts have continued to affectionately tinker with the "CoCo" to the present day.

Uses of computers! • We use computers for many different things such as: • Researching for studying. • Chat rooms such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, MSN and kids sites such as Club Penguin, for talking to friends and for entertainment. • Internet television to watch programmes that we have missed on the TV. • Auction and buying websites such as Ebay to buy and sell items. • For entertainment such as playing games, watching films, chat rooms, radio, watching videos and listening to music.
