Conclusions Satisfactory progress being made on: • MMEL Development FAA/JAA/TCCA. • Type rating determination and Training Programme Development (FAA/JAA/TCCA). • Manufacturers pilots special validation. • Essential Requirements Operations and Licensing. • Progress to be reported to HMT meetings.

  3. Action Items Qualification of Synthetic Training Devices (STDs) outside the JAA Member States. It was concluded thatprogress has been achieved in this field. • BASA/SIP Special Conditions need to be reviewed.

  4. Remark • The JAA Committee will be briefed on BASA/SIP developments and advice will be sought concerning the recommendations of the JAA STD Advisory Board regarding qualification of STD outside the JAA geographic area.
