Objectives The WP will help NCPs to become experts byincreasing their awareness of the state of the art in the environment sector WP7 will provide NCPs with knowledge of the research potential in the environment sector across the European countries - based on the analysis of needs and trends ofpresent and future research possibilities and expected developments ENV NCP Together Bucharest March 2010 WP 7 - Pan European survey of environment sector

  3. Tasks Task 1. Study of the environmental sector (one per partaking country) Task 2. Creating an overview of the gathered information (“map”) Task 3.   4. Task 1. Preparation of national sector studies/surveys of available information Preparation of national studies based on available statistical data or on a results of a survey. The data will describe: • macroeconomic characteristics • characteristics of the commerce representation • identification of the existence of associations or other networks • involvement in the FPs • information about existing national R&D programmes • characteristics of country specific cooperation opportunities • main drivers of development ENV NCP Together Bucharest March 2010 WP 7 - Pan European survey of environment sector

Task 1 - Questionnaire • 2 sections – NCP, experts • Section 1 – NCP part • General information, Expenditure to ENV sector, Government expenditures to ENV sector – thematic areas, Government R&D expenditures to ENV sector, National programmes (2002-2009) - ENV sector, Main R&D areas of importance & excellence (according to ENV theme structure in FP) • Section 2 – Experts part • Future trends and priorities ENV NCP Together Bucharest March 2010 WP 7 - Pan European survey of environment sector
