  2. Our Objective • This presentation will give participants an overview of considerations as they move forward with a standards- based reporting system. • It will NOT be everything you need to know to implement a SBR system tomorrow.

  3. Considerations When creating and implementing a standards-based report card: • Determine the purpose of the report card • Establish that it is only one part of the reporting system • Educate all on standards-based grading

  4. Considerations When creating and implementing a standards-based report card: • Create a report card • Start small, but get started • Create the need for common assessments and guidelines

  5. Determine the purpose of the report card Why do you have a report card? Who is its intended audience? What information is it intended to share? After reflecting on these questions, create a card that is appropriate for its intended audience and purpose.
