  3. Places in India • New Delhi is a capital city of India. If there is a big dot or star next to it means it is a capital city of a country. This is where I lived for my holiday

  4. Interesting facts • India's population is one billion making it the second most populous country after China.  • India is in Southern Asia, bordering the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, between Burma and Pakistan.

  5. More facts!!! • Most of the work is on land. • This a grain millet and all of the people collect honey. • They don’t get very much money even though they work hard. • They crush the pepper with there feet.

  6. Some more… • They make money to bye school books for there children. • they recept the forest we plant the plants around the trees rather than cutting them down. • Some times the little children help farming.

Languages and religions • India has about 15 major languages and 844 different dialects. • Hindi spoken by about 45 per cent of the population is the national language. • India is a land of festivals and fairs. The most widely known and popular celebrations include the Hindu festivals of Diwali, Holi, and Dussehra. • Pongal in Tamil Nadu and Onam in Kerala are harvest festivals celebrated by people belonging to all religions

  9. More facts about India…. • In Chembokoli at school they only teach maths, science, songs, story telling & geography. Not forgetting playtime their most popular game is cricket. They get picked up in loads of jeeps.

The breathtaking structure is the Sikhs most holy temple.

It was Emperor Shah Jehan who ordered the building of the Taj Mahal, in honor of his beloved wife, Arjumand Banu who was later known as Mumtaz Mahal, which means, the Distinguished of the Palace. One of the greatest monuments of India has been listed amongst the eight wonders of the world.
