  2. Murder • The unlawful killing of another human being without justification or excuse.

  3. MedicineNet.com Definitions • The voluntary termination of one's own life by administration of a lethal substance with the direct assistance of a physician. • Thedeliberate hastening of death by a terminally ill patient with assistance from a doctor, family member, or another individual.

  4. DifferentFromEuthanasia • Euthanasia (from the Greek meaning “good death.” • Thegenerally accepted omission of killing a chronically ill patient painlessly.
