  4. TPGES 2b: Creating a Culture for Learning • Read through section 2b of the TPGES either on your electronic device or use a table copy.

  5. Vignette: Ms. Bloom 1. Read the Vignette through the lens of the TPGES 2b Framework. 2. Find evidence to support your determination if Ms. Bloom is ineffective, developing, accomplished, or exemplary in establishing a culture for learning. 3. Talk with your table group about your findings.

  6. Respond to Vignette: Ms. Bloom: • What feedback could be given to Ms. Bloom in order to move her forward in her professional learning of creating a culture for learning? • Respond on Today’s Meet.

Connect to Practice: Formative Assessment Lessons • At your table, divide into 2 groups: • Those who enacted a FAL since our last meeting (OR have experience enacting numerous FALs) • Those who did not enact a FAL since our last meeting (OR have little experience enacting FALs, such as new members)

TPGES 3c and Formative Assessment FAL Experience 5 Key Strategies Using the description of the 5 Key Strategies of Formative Assessment (NCTM Research Brief), determine the components of 3c that are met by these 5 Key Strategies. • Please rely on your FAL experiences and determine the components of 3c that are met by implementing formative assessment lessons.

  13. Why do you need to fail? • Learning takes place when you fail. • Failing keeps you in the growth mindset. • It reminds us that failures are just our experiments.
