Are you tracking your ovulation? If the answer to all the questions above is yes, then you must also take stock of your preconception health. Constant Infertility issues hit many couples around the world often. However, if you make changes to your lifestyle, gain some inside knowledge on fertility treatments, you will not find it difficult to conceive. Here is a list of preconception health tips and habits that will be very useful for women trying to conceive: 1. Exercise on a regular basis:  Follow a moderate exercise regimen (30 minutes daily) that includes strength training and aerobics. This will not only release feel-good endorphins that will keep you relaxed but also boost your fertility. 2. Avoid getting stressed :  Stress is normally bad for our health irrespective of the circumstance, but if you are trying to conceive, stress can potentially have a profound hindering effect. In a study conducted at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, it was found that women with higher levels of stress had a twofold increased risk of infertility.

  2.   3. Get enough sleep:  Having a regular sleep schedule is important if you are looking to conceive. A clear link has not yet been established between the two, but there are studies that suggest women who have infertility also do not get enough sleep. Also, lack of sleep can increase your stress levels that affect fertility. So, you should ideally get seven to nine hours of sleep per night. 4. Avoid alcohol and smoking :  You must quit smoking and drinking if you wish to conceive as it may reduce fertility in women. Your partner must also avoid drinking alcohol as it can affect the quality of his sperm. The diet that you follow can also help boost fertility. Here are some tips for a healthy pre-pregnancy diet that you can follow to boost your fertility: 5. Eat a larger breakfast:  Having a heavy meal in the morning could improve the hormonal effects of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which is a major cause of infertility. However, you must also note that a heavy breakfast without reducing the portion of your meal in the afternoon and evening will lead to weight gain. 6. Reduce your carbohydrates intake:  A diet low on carbs can help you maintain a healthy weight, cut insulin levels and boost fat loss. It has been found that women who consume more carbs had a much higher risk of infertility than those who followed a lower-carb diet.

  3.   7. Eat more fibre :  A high-fibre diet will help your body shed excess weight and keep the blood sugar balanced, which is important for a woman to conceive. There is a strong link between fertility and weight, so getting to an ideal weight for your body type is a significant step to take when you are trying to conceive. If you follow the tips and fertility diet plan menu mentioned above, you will boost your fertility and increase the chances of pregnancy.
