In December 2003, the CDG Board approved the implementation of PRL Enhancements per CDG Reference Document #86. A workshop hosted in February 2004 brought together 70 attendees from various sectors to discuss the strategy. Key milestones were set with North American carriers to develop an MCC/IMSI_11_12 strategy by March 2004. Ongoing processes include applying for MNCs, confirming correct IMSI broadcasting, and preparing mobiles for testing. The initiative aims to improve ease of use, reduce updates, and enhance roaming capabilities.
