Cost Studies: • Provide Knowledge of unit costs such as “cost per admission,” associated with various types of substance abuse treatment • Enable policymaker, payers and treatment organizations to make budgetary decisions while being informed about important economic tradeoffs • A fundamental building block of economic analysis (Cost-Effectiveness Analysis and Cost-Benefit Analysis) Aaron Beaston-Blaakman
