  3. The Goals • Generate activity, partnerships &cooperation between the different European Jewish communities • Explore new ways of attracting young people to Jewish Life • Provide opportunities for professional and managerial enrichment

  4. The London Meeting: 21.1.2014 Participants’Origin: Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, UK, Denmark, Romania & Lithuania Venue: The JHub, JW3 Community Center- JHub inspires and supports positive social change in the British Jewish Community and beyond

The Forum- Modus Operandi • Meetings:4 times in the 2014 calendar year • Sharing & exchanging ideas: brainstorm, share & build • Affecting change- Project Implementation: for the long run + for the short term (showing success) • Developing needed skills & tools: Fundraising, Strategic Thinking, communications etc • Online Collaboration: Throughout the year • New members: identifying other elected members of the non represented communities in the forum

Current Status: Needs & Challenges • Assimilation • Small Communities- what can we offer? • Gap between generations & origins • Lack of resources • The community can be perceived as old, not relevant and too political • Lack of connection to Jewish content & tradition • Growing need in younger generation’s involvement

Insights- What Should We Do • In the European Jewish landscape: • Pan European Perspective: Learning from other communities • Creating atmosphere for change: cooperation of all agents in the community • Creating new and relevant platforms for young people’s involvement: Innovative thinkingand creativity

  11. Suggested Projects • Adopting & adjusting models- Bringing Moishe Houses and JHub to the community | sending representatives to the Project Incubator • Empowering young elected level: Campaign calling for young people to become politically influential • European JHub- using Paidea as an existing platform • Developing professional tools and networks in Europe- LEADEL • Delegation- getting to know the other European communities | Inspiration- models of successful young people & projects
