Developing in Authorware • Visual programming language – programming is done by dragging icons to a “flow line” and specifying properties of these icons in dialog boxes. • Authorware provides built-in interactivity whereas web pages typically use JavaScript programming to add interactivity William M.   4. Authorware Applications • Typically used for kiosks, CDs’, etc. but can do web applications • Authorware can package a user application as .exe file so that user doesn’t need Authorware to run the user application • Variety of question types are built into software William M. Pegram

  5. Built In Ways for User to Answer • Click button • Type single key • Type words(s) - fill in the blank • Drag and drop matching • Click on image or area of image William M. Pegram

  6. Optional Constaints for Responses • Tries limit • Time limit • Either can be used to avoid trapping a user in a particular question William M. Pegram
