  8. PID Detectors

  9. SciFi Tracker • Add one more station to 3 station (FNAL, IC) • Close to final design and manufacture • Connectors • Assembling • Vacuum tight patch conncetors • Outer cylinder made of carbon fiber (Liverpool) • New wave guide system (Osaka)

  10. VLPC readout system • 2 slots VLPC cryostat has been successfully commissioned. (Great Effort by Russ and Alan) • Temperatures are as expected by Russ. • Newly-developed readout board (AFEII) has been tested • Recently success in taking data

  11. KEK Test • Final check before manufacturing real tracker • Performance check w/ B field (1 Tesla) and beam • Various systematic study of the tracker

  12. Series of tests KEK Step 0 • Adopting staging approach? • Feb, 2005TOF and ACC test w/o • Performance of single counter • May, 2005 TOF and ACC test w/Bfiled (final layout) • Test PID and beam counters w/ magnetic field • Performance of TOF hodoscope • Aerogel w/ • Monitor beam under the condition of Step II • VME DAQ system • Participants from UK • International collaboration • Aug, 2005Cosmic-ray test at FNAL/KEK • Sep, 2005SciFi tracker test KEK Step I KEK Step II
