  1. Mary Gallert Communicative Adoptive Parents Mary Gallert was lucky in many respects when she first found out that she was adopted at the age of 6. Instead of stonewalling her and refusing to let her know anything about adoption or her birth parents, her adoptive parents offered all of the help that they could provide and encouraged her to be open and honest with her feelings and questions.Meeting a birth parent for the first time will put the fact that you were adopted in extremely sharp focus, which can cause a lot of distress for those who aren’t prepared.

  2. Mary Gallert Questions About Adoption When Mary Gallert first found out that she was adopted, her adoptive mother encouraged her to ask as many questions as she needed to about the situation. However, it wasn’t until she reached adolescence that the situation truly began to weigh on her, though she put on a charade of normalcy while she was attempting to deal with this inner turmoil.Mary Gallert knows from first-hand experience that there are many issues that adoptees will face during the course of their lives, particularly as they start to mature and begin asking questions about their situation.

Mary Gallert Meeting Her Birth Father Mary Gallert was happy to have established a relationship with her birth mother before her passing, but she has found it much more difficult to find her birth father. Her mother simply broke down and cried when she was asked about him and Mary is now dealing with conflicting feelings about whether she actually wants to meet the man who abandoned both her and her birth mother in their times of need.As Mary Gallert grew older she began to become more curious about her birth parents and began to think about trying to find them in order to resolve the issues of abandonment and rejection that she was struggling with.

  4. Mary Gallert Feelings of Abandonment As Mary Gallert matured and began thinking more about what it means to be an adopted child, she started experiencing feelings of abandonment. Though her adoptive parents did everything that they could to help, the question of why she was given up for adoption in the first place continued to eat away at Mary until she was finally able to track down her birth mother and meet her directly.Mary Gallert was lucky when she met her birth mother for the first time. Despite having done little in the way of preparation for the meeting, the pair managed to forge a bond extremely quickly and established a relationship as a result.
