  2. OECD Data Warehouse • OECD.Stat established 2004 • Access to OLIS (government) 2005 • Access via Internet 2006 • New dissemination policy 2007-08 • Already shared components with other organisations

  3. The Business Perspective • Same business: production and dissemination of economic data • Much of our data overlap • Both organizations support data sharing via SDMX • Similar organisational structures • Why not combine forces to jointly develop a data warehouse ?

The Outcome to Date • In-depth OECD and IMF collaboration since Dec 2006 – OECD staff at IMF in February • Adoption of IMF.Stat: World and Regional Economic Outlooks, International Financial Statistics databases will go live May 2007 • MOU to be signed shortly • Weekly conference calls • Initiating discussion of plans for joint development of enhancements
