Perspectives • Human perception of spatiality
Topophlila • In simple terms, topophlila is thus known as the love or a connection to a place, or a strong sense of place or identity among certain people • The opposite of it would be topophobia, the fear of certain places.
Topophobia Fear of Certain Places
TopophlilavsTopophobia • In The Matrix Agoraphobia: Fear of places where one has little control
Agoraphobia • This can be easily found in the matrix, as the one in power were the computers and machines • Humans were not the on in dominance but the ones dominated, leads to the fear where one has little control of the surrounding
Agoraphobia • This can be seen by Cypher whom betrayed the group and opted back to the matrix. • His decision was partially based on the fact that when he goes back, he is in control of his life, and not constantly hunted • He would have control in the situation in the matrix as compared to reality where what he does has little or no control over the situation
TOPOPhobia In MATRIX Fear Of Heights: Acrophobia This can been seen in the scene where Neo was afraid on the building when he was escaping the agents. This was once again portrayed in the jump Neo did in his stimulation training.
