Dundee and Perth City Bat Projects

The Dundee and Perth City Bat Projects aim to raise awareness and appreciation of bats while actively engaging volunteers in survey initiatives. Led by Anne Youngman from the Bat Conservation Trust, the project includes training sessions, bat detector use, and extensive car surveys. With 27 volunteers contributing over 200 hours, the project successfully surveyed 34 out of 57 squares on foot and 38 by car, overcoming challenging weather conditions. The data collected supports the National Bat Monitoring Programme and promotes local biological recording.
