Integration of Miami County Address Data for Enhanced Geocoding and Public Safety

This proposal aims to incorporate the entire Miami County centerline file into the JoCo centerline system. As part of the nightly updates, we will also add the northern quarter of Miami County's address points to the Addpt table and Address_PT feature class, along with a new "County" field for easier data filtering. This integration will support the School Locator application, improve public safety dispatch capabilities, and facilitate easy access to accurate address data for geocoding and mapping. Key concerns include duplicate addresses and overlapping street names.

Plans • Incorporate the entire Miami County centerline file into the JoCo centerline • Nightly along with the regular address point rebuild, add the Northern ¼ of Miami County Address points to Addpt table and Address_PT feature class • Add a “County” field to the Addpt table and Address_PT feature class to facilitate filtering

Benefits • School Locator application • Allows support of address matching for Miami County students (Mainly for Blue Valley and Spring Hill school districts) • Public Safety Dispatch • Enhance dispatching capabilities by ensuring more up to date data for the Miami County area where Sheriff and Rural Fire District #2 service • General • Easy access to this Miami County address data for geocoding, and mapping purposes

Concerns • Addresses • 46 duplicate addresses when number and name are compared • 24 duplicate addresses when number, name and type are compared • Centerlines • 166 identical street names • 292 segments with overlapping ranges with pre-Direction, street name and street type • 909 segments with overlapping ranges with street name and street type • 1489 segments with overlapping ranges with street name
