ISERE AREA (38) RSU « ROIZE » ABSTRACT This Field Operational Test (FOT) took place in real-life traffic in the Département de l’Isère(38), more specifically in Voreppe near Grenoble, from March to September 2013. The FOT aims at testing Cooperative ITS (C-ITS) technologies and assessing under real traffic conditions the impact of attitude, subjective norm, perceived control and past experience about cooperative technologies into the drive with C-ITS. RSU « NOYAREY » One controlled itineraryFOT on public road under real conditions • A diversified environment: motorway, main road, secondary road, local road. The itinerary proposed is about 40 km long with an average of approximately 88,300 vehicles/day concerning A48, 33,900 vehicles for D3, 17,700 vehicles for D105F and 7,300 vehicles for D1075. • Four R-ITSS (Roadside ITS Station) were installed bytheConseilgénéral de l’Isèreon the test site in order to exchange messages between the vehicles (V2V) and the road infrastructure (V2I and I2V). • 48 volunteer drivers, not involved in the project, were divided up in 6 groups (Male/Female and 3 age groups) and drove vehicles equipped with SCORE@F on-board units on the Isère test site for about 50 minutes. • Protocol: • Volunteers answered a questionnaire which aimedto highlight the reasons of system misuses and to determine predictors of bad acceptance. • Use cases and different control situations are preset on the road (see the map with signals) in order to compare drivers’ behaviors in both contexts: with and without the C-ITS • Afterthe trial, volunteers are asked about their test experience in order to list potential difficulties and feasible improvements POLLUTION POI POLLUTION POLLUTION POLLUTION POI RSU « VOREPPE » hitch-hiking RSU « Park » StationaryVehicle POI Wifi 802.11 p Isère PARTNERS Discussion • To test and qualify V2X technologies • To create a statistic data base on the users’ acceptance of the C-ITS • To feed the territorial authorities’ debates with a use study
