  3. Antarctica is the coldest place on Earth! There is some grass there. There are a lot of animals in Antarctica and many icebergs.

  4. The killer whale is the top predator. Animals like penguins, seals, leopard seals and whales live there. Krill is the small animal like shrimp that many animals like whales eat.

  5. There are some kinds of plants that grow in Antarctica during the short summer. Lichens, mosses and kelp can grow. There are also some algae and fungi like mushrooms growing here. That is what grows in Antarctica.

  6. Some whales, like Gray whales, have barnacles. Barnacles are small clam like animals that stick on the whales for their entire life. The whales give them a ride so they can go through the water and find food. The whales help out the barnacles. Antarctica is a cool habitat to learn about!
