It's a fascinating place for visitors to spend days and nights among its inspiring stone streets, which extend like rivers descending from the hills. As part of the commercial and cultural attractions in the area, numerous artistic activities are offered usually in the town's main square, which is known for its cleanliness and picturesque antique Mexican design.   5. MALINALCO AZTEC TEMPLE Malinalco has always been associated with magic or sorcery due to the legend that it was the home of the goddess Malinalxóchil. The Aztecs conquered the area in the 1470s, and established here a sanctuary for their military elite, the Eagle and Jaguar Warriors. The complex was built on the Cerro de los Idolos (Hill of the Idols), over an older ceremonial site.
