  22. pi kappa phi foundation • The Foundation was established in 1952 to support the fraternity’s educational programs. • Provides more than $100,000 annually for Mid Year Leadership Conferences and Pi Kapp College. • Subsidizes costs of Pi Kappa Phi’s alcohol education programs.

  23. pi kappa phi foundation • The Foundation also provides academic support through its scholarship program. • Grants more than $65,000 in national and chapter-based scholarships. • An International Scholars Program was introduced in 2008 to help students participate in study abroad opportunities.

  25. push america Since founding Push America in 1977, Pi Kappa Phis have raised more than $12 million and provided more than 600,000 hours of volunteer service to benefit people with disabilities.

  27. opportunities for leadership mid year leadership conference Each January, more than 1,100 students attend Mid Year Leadership Conference for officer training in fraternity operations. Each officer follows an educational track that has been tailored specifically to his position.

  28. opportunities for leadership pi kapp college Pi Kapp College is an institute for emerging leaders of Pi Kappa Phi. Grounded in the fraternity’s Ritual and the Social Change Model of leadership, Pi Kapp College is an intensive, six-day program designed to challenge and empower participants to become better leaders and better men.

  29. opportunities for education alcohol education • The Ladder of Risk was developed Pi Kappa Phi and is facilitated by trained volunteers. It teaches students how to host social functions in accordance with FIPG guidelines with an emphasis on safety and risk reduction. • ASTP (Alcohol Skills Training Program) takes a realistic approach to curbing risky drinking behaviors. Rather than imposing abstinence, it recognizes that any step towards reduced risk is a step in the right direction.

  30. opportunities for education alcohol education • GreekLifeEdu is an initiation requirement for all members of Pi Kappa Phi. This interactive online program provided through a partnership with Outside the Classroom teaches about risk management policies, alcohol and drug use, hazing, sexual abuse and confrontation skills.

  31. opportunities for service journey of hope Each summer, more than 90 members cycle 4,000 miles from the West Coast to Washington, D.C., on the Journey of Hope. During the two-month trek, the team participates in activities to promote a greater understanding of people with disabilities. The event annually raises more than $500,000.

  32. opportunities for service gear up florida Every summer, a team of 35 members cycle 800 miles through Florida to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. This two-week event raises $75,000 each year.

  33. opportunities for service build america Build America is a six-week program over the summer where team members build accessible environments at camps that serve people with disabilities. Team members have the opportunity for extended personal interaction with the campers who benefit from the team’s hard work and friendship.

  34. opportunities for service push camp Push Camp is a five-day alternative spring break-style program where participants build accessible environments at camps that serve people with disabilities and interact with the campers who benefit from the team’s hard work and friendship. Push Camps took place this year in Texas, Georgia and Alabama.

  35. opportunities for service gap weekends GAP (Give-A-Push) Weekends are service weekends where participants engage in work projects at camps that serve people with disabilities. Five GAP Weekends are held regionally each semester.
