Fuerza Latina is a leading organization of immigrants for immigrants based in Fort Collins. Founded by Kimberly Baker Medina, the organization advocated for immigrants and offers services and support for immigrants in northern Colorado. The projects of Fuerza Latina include the Immigrant Assistance Hotline, workshops for DACA and immigrant rights, a detention center visitation program, public speaking events, marches and rallies for immigration reform and responses to immigration raids. Kimberly Baker Medina is a graduate of University of California Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall) and a past fellow of Berkeley Law Foundation Grantee (1989-1990). She was selected as the Community Leader of Mexicans in the United States by the Mexican Secretary of Exterior Relation in 2003. She has also been honored with the Pro Bono Service Award at the 8th Annual Immigrant Liberty Awards for her dedicated efforts at the Founder of Fuerza Latina.
