  2. Metallica  is an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California • Metallica formed in 1981 • one of the founding "big four“ of thrash metal • (others are Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax)

  3. The band Kirk Hammett – lead guitarist James Hetfield – vocals, rhythm guitarist Lars Ulrich – Drums Robert Trujillo- Bassist

  4. Achievements • Metallica has released… • nine studio albums, • four live albums, • five extended plays, • 25 music videos, • 37 singles. • And has won nine Grammy Awards.

  5. Metallica was the first band to have five consecutive album debut at number one on the billboard 200. Billboard 200 is a ranking of the 200 highest selling music albums in the US. As of 2010 the band has sold more than 100 million albums all over the world.

  6. Their third album “Master of Puppets“ was described the most influential. They achieved commercial succsess with their fifth album “The Black Album”. With this release they earned a more mainstream audience.
