Courses • MBA The Master of Business Administration is a two year full time programme spread over four semesters and a summer internship. The first semester lays the foundation in fundamentals of management. The second semester lays the foundation in the functional areas of management. The third and fourth semesters focus on in depth knowledge in the areas of specialization. Specializations are offered in the areas of finance, Marketing, Operations and Information Systems. MHRM • Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) • The Master of Human Resource Management is a two year full time programme spread over four semesters and a summer internship. The first semester lays the foundation in fundamentals of management. The second semester lays the foundation in the functional areas of management. The third and fourth semesters focus on in depth knowledge in Human Resource Management. • The MHRM programme at RCBS is offered by the School of Management of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous). The University Grants Commission granted autonomous status to Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS) in the year 2014, with effect from June 1, 2014. The MHRM curriculum under the autonomous status is designed by RCSS to enable students to evolve into professionally competent managers, ready for the challenges of any organization.
PGDM • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) • The PGDM programme evolved from the need for an innovative academic programme that aims to ignite the passion to excel in students. Business organizations need to constantly stay abreast of the latest strategies and techniques to survive and grow. The programme aims to groom prospective managers with the right conceptual foundations, analytical skills and application abilities to help organizations attain and maintain the crucial competitive edge with managers who can lead from the front. • The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two year full time course spread over six trimesters and a summer internship. The PGDM course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized as equivalent to MBA Degree of an India University by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The Post Graduate Diploma in Management was launched in the year 2008. The PGDM programme is designed on the principle that a proper balance of theory and practice is needed to aid managerial skill formation for effective decision-making and problem solving in the globalised environment. The programme aims to train the students to be competent managers and to inculcate qualities required for effective leadership of organizations.
International Exchange MBA • The Rajagiri International Institute for Education and Research (RIIER) has been instituted as a response to globalization in the field of higher education and offers quality programmes which equip professionals to effectively perform in the global arena. • RIIER was established in 1998 with its first twinning programme in Management with Western Michigan University, USA. Since then RIIER has arduously carved out affiliations with Sellinger School of Business, Loyola College in Maryland, USA, University of Maryland, Assumption University, Bangkok, Nazareth College, Rochester, James Cook University, Australia, and Australian Catholic University, Australia. • Twinning programme is an innovative educational concept that enables students to complete the first part of a programme in an institution in one country and the other part in a partnering university located in a different country. The partner institutions share Courseware, teaching methods and faculty members for successful completion of the programme. At RIIER we offer part of the International MBA programme by adopting syllabi and delivery methods conforming to international standards. On successful completion of the first part of the programme at RIIER, students can transfer these courses to the parent University and complete the second part of the programme there. The one-year programme at RIIER is designed as a flexible three-trimester course with transfer options available at the end of each trimester
