Water pipes leaking or dripping Plumbing pipes are often in your attic and may either by leaking or accumulating condensation, causing the water to drip. Condensation inside your home If your house isn’t properly vented, insulated, or has a whole-house humidifier that is set too high, condensation can build up and cause moisture in the home, especially in your attic. To help prevent this problem, be mindful to keep your whole-house humidifier set below 30 percent. Clogged downspouts and gutters Especially over the winter, gutters and downspouts can get clogged with debris, twigs, leaves, and dirt.
