Group –I Indicator -1 National Policy , programme and Co-ordination GAPS: There is no Policy There is no national plan There is no Funds BFC is not liked to other sectors RECOMMENDATION There should be a national policy . Submission to request approval from MOH on the policy & Include EBF ( 6 months ) There should be allocation of budgets to develop action plan There is need to improve the communication with other sectors ( meeting/ workshops)

Group –I • GAPS: • BFHI is Inadequate • There is gaps in training & assessment • RECOMMENDATION • There is need to develop plan ( commitment of D.M.) • Advocacy • Training • Assessment • The training should be conducted according to 20 hrs course ( TOT 40 hrs ) • Training to assess the BFHI evaluation to implementation Indicator -2 BFHI

  7. Group –I • GAPS: • Not all articles are included in the law • Compliance of the law is not adequate • No reporting systems • No action for violators • RECOMMENDATION • Upgrade the law to include all the articles based on International code & WHA resolutions. • Enforcement of monitoring systems on the law Indicator -Implementation of international code of marketing of breastmilk substitutes
