Date: December 20, 2009 End User: BSNL Installer: Milliken Venue: Rannikuti to Jadhavpur Exchange Kolkata Classification: Outside Plant Installation Details • Izaz Sir and Mr Lee installed EM 5621-3 MaxCell in 158meters between two manhole assigned one km Ranikutti to Jadhavpur exchange, Kolkata in July 2008, other 5 manholes were located in the center of the road and were sealed with asphalt around the edge. • Due to not opening of the manhole covers trial was pending since last one and half year, then BSNL Kolkata assign this work to an contractor to up r ise the manholes, install the MaxCell and two OF cable s in to MaxCell. It was very busy road so hurdles like permission from municipal corporation, local transport police and lastly contractor was not supportive. • After putting pressure from BSNL corporate office to GM Kolkata at last all five manholes cover up raised in last two months and finally on 16th to 21srt Dec 09 we installed MaxCell and two 18mm a and 12mm Optical Fiber cable in MaxCell in Ranikutti to Jadhavpur exchange in the presence of DGM(Tx), EE(Tx), SDE and Des successfully. Date: December 20, 2009 End User: BSNL Installer: Milliken Venue: Rannikuti to Jadhavpur Exchange Kolkata Classification: Outside Plant cable pulling trying roding with iron rodder Bamboos inserted by contractors Installation Details • In one of the man hole contractor inserted number of bamboos in 100mm ID conduit to create problems in trial because his payment was not released. • After removing these bamboos from conduits we tried Roding in available four 100mm conduits to installed rope but not succeed . There were one conduit in which one live12mm cable was though, after getting permission from BSNL NOC, on Sunday we cut the cable and installed EM 5621-3 MaxCell and a rope, using rope again install the same live cable and further installed 18 and 12mm cables in MaxCell successfully.
