What you need to play in softball • Face mask is optional … it depends on the league , cleats you need , and bat and batting gloves … you may also need a mouth guard but you don’t have to have one, but most importantly you need a glove for softball and it HAS to be a certain softball glove for girls.

  3. What is softball ??? • Softball is just like baseball except it is for girl and has a different pitching style.

  4. Who invented softball • Softball was invented by George Hancock.

  5. What are the positions in softball • First there is first base then second base short stop , third base catching pitcher . Then there is the out field so in out field there is center field right field and lastly left field.

  6. catching and pitching • So first of all when your catching you have to make sure all your gear is on correctly. Then you want to go on a squatting position, put your free hand behind your back. • When your pitching you have to have a face mask on. And also you to KNOW how to pitch. But you pitch by making your hand in a windmill formation , and making sure you make it underhand when you let go of the ball.

  7. How do you bat in softball • So the main thing you need when your batting in softball is your helmet with a face mask. Then you want to stay a little bit close to home plate. And you need your leg apart and your hand at the bottom of the bat. And of course you need a tight grip.
