Components of TED 5000 MTU & CTs Gateway Display Measuring Transmitting Unit & Current Transformers • CTs attach around main incoming wires of breaker panels is sensitive to 1 watt • MTU sends power line carrier signal to Gateway and wires into A and B phases of panel • Plugs into any outlet and receives and stores detailed usage • Flash memory and powerful microprocessor • Can communicate to wireless display, wireless router, or computer • Optional Zigbee wireless handheld with LED backlit display • User can browse through multiple screens of data and customize display • Rechargeable battery that charges in stand
