  2. Glimpse Of Past Who would have thought of communicating with a device which could fit in our pocket or perform extremely long calculation by pressing certain buttons. But all this came into existence with the advancement in technology. Now the point of discussion is not how these devices were invented or who invented thembut the amusing part is how these big and heavy devices became portable and what has made these changes possible.

Why Make ThemPortable? “The First Computer weighed 30 short tons (27 t), was roughly 8 feet (2.4 m) by 3 feet (0.9 m) by 100 feet (30 m), took up 1800 square feet (167 m²), and consumed 150 kW of power.” Now if you roughly analyze the above line, you would not need a reason to know why people shifted towards portable appliances or why engineers and scientists felt the need of developing smaller appliances as compared to heavy machines. But lets list down the points for a change to be more specific and clear.

Don’t Beat Around the Bush (reason for change) • Space ¾ of the world is covered with water and if the rest of the space is occupied by heavy electronic appliance where would human being go. • Size If the size of the device is twice or thrice the size of you then it will not be an easy task to operate such a device. • Power When the whole world is saving on energy, none of us would want to waste electricity on devices consuming a lot of power.

Also one can buy this over internet from sites like Amazon, ShopClues, Flipkart.
