Introduction to BAEC • Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) was established in February 1973 through the promulgation of the Presidential Order 15of1973. • Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission came into existence in 1973 as a multidisciplinary scientific research organization with the prime objective of peaceful utilization of atomic energy. • With this end in view, the BAEC, since its inception, has been involved in acquisition, development and application of nuclear science and technology for contributing to human welfare and economic uplift of the country. • The BAEC has also been maintaining activities to setup Nuclear Power Plant for the production of electricity as environment friendly source of energy
