What the Finance Major Can Do for You! • 38% reporting 2007 MBAs graduate with Corporate Financial or Investment Management Majors; up from 26% among 2006 graduates • Starting salary for 2007 graduates in Finance-related jobs is $82,335, ranging from $47,000 to $100,000; 77% reported a signing bonus averaging $15,295 ($3,000 to $40,000) • Typically, Finance & banking lead other fields by 15-20% • Types of placements last three years: • Financial Analyst (ABN AMRO, Limited, Nortel Networks, P&G, IBM) • Bank Analyst (National City, Nationsbank, Key) • Investment Analyst (Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Cantor Fitzgerald, Lehman Bros.) • Investment Banking (Barclays Capital, Bear Stearns)

How to Get There! • We have two Finance Majors that are designed to be career-track oriented: • Corporate Financial Management (finance analyst, banking analyst, consultant) • Investment Management (investment banking, investment analyst, risk management) • We have three minor options (Finance, Financial Services & Real Estate) that would be a natural for consultants and others that seek some degree of specialization • We assume that you have successfully completed MBA 810 • Each major track is composed of BASE courses and additional SELECTIVE courses

The Corporate Finance Major • Both Required: • Bus Fin 811 – Financial Management II • Bus Fin 821 – Advanced Corporate Finance Base Courses • Choose at least FOUR (* = Advisable): • Bus Fin 822 – Security Markets • Bus Fin 825 – International Finance* • Bus Fin 826 – Financial Institutions • Bus Fin 827 – Fixed Income Securities • Bus Fin 828 – Strategic Cases in Finance* • Bus Fin 829 – Risk Management * • Bus Fin 831 – Insurance and Risk Management • Bus Fin 832 – Behavioral Finance • Bus Fin 846 – Fundamentals of Private Equity • At most one of these may be counted toward the four: • AMIS 824 – Corporate Financial Reporting • AMIS 827 – Information, Incentives and Control • AMIS 829 – Financial Accounting Analysis • AMIS 842 – Financial Statement Analysis Selective Courses
