  3. Finding a Wife for Isaac • Genesis 24:2-9 – Abraham sends servant to Mesopotamia to find a wife • Genesis 24:10-61 – Servant goes to fulfill orders • Genesis 24:62-67 – Isaac and Rebekah meet and marry

  4. Rebekah Childless • Genesis 25:21 – Isaac pleaded with the Lord for Rebekah to have a child • Genesis 25:24 – The Lord granted his plea and Rebekah has twins • Genesis 25:5 – Isaac inherits all from his father • Genesis 25:8 – Abraham dies

Isaac Travels to Gerar • Genesis 26:1-4 – Lord gives promise of Nation, Land & Seed to Isaac • Genesis 26:7 – Says his wife is his sister • Genesis 26:8-11 – Abimelech becomes aware of the deceit • Genesis 26:12-14 – Lord blesses Isaac • Genesis 26:15 – Philistines envied him & stopped up wells his father dug • Genesis 26:16 – is asked to leave area

  6. Moves to Valley of Gerar • Genesis 26:17-22 – Has trouble with the herdsmen of Gerar over water Travels to Beersheba • Genesis 26:23,24 – Lord appears to him there • Genesis 26:26 – Abimelech asks for a peace treaty
