How can it be used? • Bitcoin can be used to pay for goods when shopping online, there are some physical ATMs that allow for the withdrawal and deposit of it. • Any form of payment or transaction is permanent, when you spend an amount, it’s gone, you can’t get it back, this is a good thing as you don’t have any collection agencies following you. • Because of the transactions being permanent, a country using it as a currency could become virtually debt free. • Bitcoin’s creation has inspired the creation of other crypto-currencies, such as Litecoin, Dogecoin, and even Iceland’s new virtual currency

  3. Bitcoin was introduced as software in 2009 • The largest purchase using Bitcoin was a villa in Bali, Indonesia using over $500,000 worth of the currency to buy it.
