  2. I am in a river, but not in a lake, I am in computer, but not in a T.V. and I am in rain, but not in snow, What am I? • What came first, the chicken or the egg? • Some months have 31 days, some have 30 days. 3. In English class, there are times when students don’t have the answer, no time to talk or feel to shy to speak in front of the class. • One method to help communication is THINK-PAIR-SHARE

  4. Teacher asks a question. Pair • Think Students then pair up and discuss the question and their ideas. Students are then given time to think quietly about the question. After pairs have discussed, then the pairs will share their thoughts in a big group. Share

  5. T-P-S Practice • You can use a variety of different material for think, pair, share. Questions, photos, videos, reading, etc… • Keep time and encourage sharing with quieter students. • Today, we’ll practice a few.

  6. Questions • Where is the most beautiful place in the world? • Why do you think some people don't like spiders? • If you had only 1,000 baht left in your pocket to survive in the streets of Bangkok for the next 2 weeks, how would you spend it?

  10. Questions • What is the most important job in the world? • What would you do if you were invisible for a day? • If you were going to have a weird, unusual pet, what would it be? • What is the best way to book a flight abroad?

  11. Things to remember • Not important for students to get right answer for questions, but rather create language. • Also you can have students use dictionaries to help encourage learning new vocabulary. • Keep questions vague to help students be more creative and provide more language. • There could be some students that don’t give full participation, be cautious and attentive to those students.
