Reservoir Geology I (Clastics):The Rotliegend of the Netherlands - From Hydrocarbon Exploration to Field DevelopmentDr. Jürgen GrötschShell Global Solutions International B.V., Rijswijk, The Netherlands Course Description: The two day Reservoir Geology I course will lead you through the life cycle stages of a clastic hydrocarbon reservoir characterisation from exploration through to field development. The example used is from the prolific Paleozoic hydrocarbon system with the Carboniferous coal sequences as main source rock and the Rotliegend Group as the prevalent reservoir. This reservoir forms Europe's most important gas supplier in the on- and offshore area of the Netherlands with the giant Groningen gas field at it's heart. Course participants are expected to have a B.Sc. degree. In between the introductory lectures provided, students will work in syndicate groups on various project exercises. Date: 10-11.
