  1. JESUS LOVES THE OUTCAST MATTHEW 9:35-38

  2. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9:36-38 (NIV)

  3. Jesus Loves the Political Outcast

  4. Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. Luke 19:1-4 (NIV)

  5. How do you feel about… The 1%? Occupy Wall Street? The ACLU? The NRA? The Tea Party? MoveOn.org?

  6. HOW DOES JESUS TREAT THE POLITICAL ACTIVIST? He doesn’t march… He doesn’t protest… He invites him to dinner

  7. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.“ So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. Luke 19:5-6 (NIV)

  8. All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.'“ Luke 19:7 (NIV)

  9. Jesus Called 2 Men on Opposite Sides of the Political Spectrum to be Apostles Matthew – A Tax Collector Simon – A Zealot

  10. We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Romans 15:1 (NIV)

  11. How is it that when it comes to… Race Sexual Sins Political Differences We find it so easy to abandon a Christ-like spirit.

  12. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:44-48 (NIV)

  13. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 (NIV)
