This study explores the intricate pathways of carbon fixation and detoxification within carboxysomes, emphasizing key enzymes such as Rubisco, RPI, and phosphoketolase. We analyze the roles of intermediates like sedoheptulose-1,7-BP, ribulose-5-P, and xylulose-5-P in the Calvin cycle, glycolysis, and tri-carboxylic acid cycle. Our findings shed light on the molecular interactions and recycling mechanisms critical for efficient carbon metabolism, underlining the significance of chaperones and regulatory elements in optimizing enzyme activity in varied environmental conditions.
