  4. LSS Rules & Regulations Organization Structure • All the Technical Recruiters (TR) will be reporting to the respective Accounts Managers (AM) • Accounts Managers will be reporting to the CEO. • All the staff at India office will have a meeting with the CEO, on every Friday at 9 pm IST along with their status reports ,issues and achievements. • All the TRs will be working with all the AMs. (Eg. AM 1 can give the requirement to either TR A, B or C. same way TR A can work on requirement from AM 1, 2 and 3).

  5. Responsibilities of TR (Technical Recruiter) • At a given time each recruiter will be working on minimum 2 requirement and they should submit 2-3 valid resumes per requirement within given specific time. • These requirements will be provided by the AMs. Once the TR received the requirement from AM they should inform the concern AM who is working in which requirements. • TR’s should be very good negotiators in rates/maintaining company norms and standards and able to tactically handle vendors and consultants and see that consultants are sure to take up projects then only should recommend to the AM’s • TR’s prime responsibility would be to collect the compatible resumes based on the requirement and rate provided by the AM. • TR’s will be responsible to at least on a given day to identify one good consultant who can join or prospective to join/ transfer to LSS his employment and has to be indicated to any AM. • While looking for the right candidate it is important that the resume has all the mandatory skills mentioned by the AM. • Once the TR picks the match resume, he/she should talk to the candidate about the availability, location, check the communication skills and legal status.

  6. Responsibilities of TR page 2 • If the TR feels that the communication skills are good, he should try to get a technical interview done by one of the TR or AM who has the technical knowledge of that particular skill. • Finally the TR will talk to the employer of the concerned candidate and negotiate and confirm the rate, in consultation with AM. • Once a confirmation is received (signed NDA & legal status copy), TR should submit the resume with contact details to the AM thru the E-mail. • In case TRs come across any good requirements, they should forward it to one of the AMs and can participate in the discussions. No one to one contacts with any of the present or prospective clients without the knowledge of AM. • If a TR comes across a potential H1B transfer candidate, the TR can talk to the candidate and try to get him on board (AMs help can be availed in this regard and also a separate document will be provided which will be helpful in talking to such candidates). • TRs will not be posting any Ads on the head hunting sites (Dice, Monster etc). • Each month, TRs should make sure that a minimum of 2 of their candidates are placed thru the AMs. If they fail to achieve this, it will be carried forward to the next month.

  7. Responsibilities of AM (Accounts Manager) • Main responsibility will include placing the consultants on projects. Priority should be given first to LSS Hotlist consultant then resumes/consultants supplied by the TR and consultants contacted by the AMs themselves. • All the client interactions like getting the requirements, negotiating rate, scheduling interviews, closures etc will be done by the AMs. • Apart from fulfilling the requirements with the existing clients, The AMs will also work on building relations with prospective companies to make as new clients/vendors. • AMs should also concentrate on making some smaller companies, with good consultants, as our sub vendors and get holists from them to pass on to TMs/Database Admin. • Posting the resumes on Dice, Monster etc. headhunting site. • AMs will be working with the Admin department for handling the paper work or any other issue related with the consultant.

  8. The AM should touch base each of their placed consultants on regular basis. By keeping in touch, AM will be in a position to know when the candidate will available again for marketing and also if they have any requirement at the client place which can be filled by LSS or referrals. (when database is in operation need to upload the details been acquired) If required AM will also contact their consultants for Timesheets. In case of a project getting extended, the concerned AM is required to update the database with the project end date. AM should check at least one reference before submitting to the client Where ever a Drug test or Background check is required, AM should request a copy from the client and send it to the Admin department for record. 9. Recruitment Life Cycle (RLC)

  10. RLC Process • Recruiting process starts when the requirement is sent to the Accounts Manager from a direct Client or Preferred Vendor. • The AM checks the LSS Inc Hot List for candidates with relevant skills, if a matching resume is found, it is submitted to the direct client or the preferred vendor. (The hot list is updated regularly by AMs & TRs by doing H1 Transfers) • If there are no good resumes in the hot list the Requirement is assigned to the Technical Recruiter (TR). • TR Studies the requirement and searches for the best suitable candidate, either in the search engines or by contacting the suppliers through a broadcast. Once the resumes are received the TR does the following : • Checks the availability and relocation issues. • Looks for matching skills. Relevant experience (Technical + Domain). • Checks the Communication & Technical skills of the consultant. • Checks the references and Negotiates the rate with the supplier. • Gets the rate confirmation through a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) signed by the Supplier. • Once the signed NDA is received, the TR forwards the resume to the AM.

  11. RLC Process page 2 • If the Accounts Manager (AM) is satisfied with the resume, the resume is submitted to the end client or the preferred vendor. • If the requirement is through a preferred vendor, the preferred vendor calls the consultant for screening. If the consultant is short listed the resume is submitted to the end client. • If the requirement is directly from the end client, the AM submits the resume to the end client. • Interview is scheduled with the end client for the short listed consultant. • If selected, the client sends a purchase order (PO) to the preferred vendor. • Preferred vendor sends a PO to the AM. • Admin Department sends a PO to the Supplier. • Consultant starts working at the client site.

  14. Qualities of a Successful TR To be a successful Technical Recruiter, a person should develop the following traits. • Excellent Communication skills • Knowledge about IT skills • Drive For Results • Inquisitiveness • Sales & Service Orientation • Patience • Relationship Builder • Flexibility • Passion • Proactive • Organizational Management • Market Intelligence • Candidate Management • Network Building • Quick Delivery • Good Decision Making

  15. How to Identify the Good Resume ? Resume Screening: • Experience: Check total IT experience of the Consultant and experience related to different skill sets as per the requirement. A good Resume will have maximum number of well known US clients. • US Experience : Should have minimum of 2 years experience in USA. Only onsite experience with US clients should be counted as US experience, offshore projects related to US clients should be excluded. • Skills : Should have a minimum 90% of the required skills. Make sure that the required skills are used in the current project. Check the right combination of different skills used. Example, in a fake resume a consultant might use Java with MS IIS web server. • Dates: Matching start and end dates reflecting the continuity of the projects. • Domain experience: Check if the consultant has the required domain experience. Example, if the end client is a Bank, check if the consultant is having any banking domain experience. • Education: Check the educational qualification related to the requirement. • References: Check for the authentic references. Preferably from Americans (should be of tech leads or project managers).

  16. How to Identify the Right Candidate ? Candidate Screening: (Calling the consultant) • Availability: The consultant should be available for a project immediately or before the start date. • Relocation issues: The consultant should be willing to relocate to the required project location. • Check communication skills: The consultant should have excellent communication skills. • Technical Screening: Brief Technical Screening is mandatory. To start with questions related to the different projects he/she worked on should be asked. Technical screening on the required skills can be done by the provided questionnaires. • Comfort level: Check if the consultant will be comfortable working with the current requirement. • Enquiry: Enquire about the company holding his/her H1 Visa. • Rate : Discuss hourly billing rates with GC/Citizens only.

  17. Trick of the Trade How to Identify the Hot Requirement : Following are the decision factors to be considered for identifying a Hot requirement. • Submission Deadline • Contract Length • Billing rate for the requirement • Response from the Client/Vendor How fast to submit the Resume: Speed counts when submitting a resume to the Accounts Manager (AM) and AM submitting to the client. When a requirement is sent by a preferred vendor/client, simultaneously it is sent to a number of other suppliers therefore it is very critical that a response is made in a very short period of time. Late submissions might not be short listed by the preferred vendor/client. When a hot requirement comes in, make sure that the resume is submitted within one hour. Reverse Marketing Strategy: Once a good resume is identified and signed NDA is received from the concerned Supplier, it can be used for reverse marketing. The resume should be broadcasted Internally to all AMs and TRs. Note : • In addition personal contacts with the vendor’s AMs and TRs should be maintained. • Follow ups for the requirements as well as for submissions should be done.
