  1. All About Industrial IoT Industrial IoT or IIoT has become an integral part of industries in the last few years. With technology developing at lightspeed, industries are required to be abreast of such developments. In this blog, we cover basic aspects of the Industrial Internet of Things. What Exactly is IIoT? IIoT refers to the range of devices, sensors, and technologies that focus on enhancing manufacturing processes. IIoT devices leverage smart solutions and real-time analytics that transform the industrial practices. IIoT devices enable organizations to identify problems, risks, and ine?ciencies, thereby saving time, cost, and resources. A product of Industry 4.0, the futuristic technology of IIoT enables industries to become the leaders in their stream. What are the Benefits of IIoT? ● Improved Insights Implementing IIoT solutions provide the managers with detailed insights about the manufacturing processes. Before the advent of IIoT devices, managers depended on the production result to weigh their processes. With IIoT however, real-time data analytics and insights are readily available. ● Risk Detection

  2. In a manufacturing environment, risks are inevitable. Not addressing the risks duly can cost the organization dearly. IIoT technology specializes in identifying risks in the processes and alerting the managers, thereby reducing the cost of risks. ● Tracking & Management In an enormous industrial ecosystem, tracking, monitoring, and managing inventory and other assets are a huge responsibility. With IIoT, managers can tag the deliverables and other assets, giving the supervisors a complete view at all times. ● Process E?ciency There are several factors that could a?ect the e?ciency of processes. IIoT, when implemented to overcome specific issues, can greatly enhance the process e?ciency. For example, it is easier to track and manage the temperature of a facility, improving the quality of food deliverables seamlessly. What are the Risks? Like with any technology, IIoT’s major challenge and the biggest risk is their security protocols. IIoT devices were known to be a subject from unethical hackers since it gave an entrance into an organization’s system. It is imperative that the manager reviews their IIoT security regularly and conduct patch-ups consistently. Establishing a strong security system is the only way to reduce risks associated with IIoT devices.

  3. A Few Examples of IIoT: ● Robotics ● Smart Grid ● Smart Power ● Smart City ● Factory Devices ● Industrial robotics and automation Implementing IIoT devices and solutions are a must-have for every industry that marches futurewards. Think industrial IoT solutions India - Think Melss!
