END4267 LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT • Goal: Teaching the fundamental concepts and methods of logistics and supply chain management • Learning Outcomes: • 1 Knowing the basic concepts and their definitions related to logistics systems • 2 Recognizing the components and organizations of logistics systems • 3 Being able to apply the numerical methods that can be used in the design of logistics systems • 4 Recognizing the historical background of logistics sector and being able to forecast the future trends • 5 Knowing the methods to select the suitable suppliers in logistics systems and recognizing the collaboration opportunities • 6 Knowing the approaches to be used for inventory management • 7 Understanding the fundamentals of logistics information systems • 8 Recognizing the potential contributions of lean thinking and 6-sigma approach to improve efficiency in logistics management
