  3. Uniformity of Language Development Sequence Worldwide babies learn to speak about the same time…and They go through about the same stages: babble---one word, two words, sentences,.. (Lightbown & Spada, 2013)

  4. Why do we need a “language”? to communicate with each other… It is the combination of symbolic ability and social need…

  5. Language’s rule systems Phonology Morphology (word rules such as plurals, tense, etc.) Syntax (Grammatical rules that govern sentence structure) Semantics (Meaning of words) Pragmatics (Using language in different contexts) (Lightbown & Spada, 2013)

  6. Very sadly, our traditional ways of teaching discourage the process of inquiry. It makes the student get less prone to asking questions as they move through their grade levels, they are just expected to listen and repeat the expected answers. PASSIVE LEARNING
