  5. Teaching Philosophy • As a teacher I want to empower my students to feel comfortable with emerging technologies and be able to express themselves using technology. I feel business courses are valuable not only to give students skills they will use during high school and their post secondary education, but also a skill that can be used to gain employment and use during their lifetime. • As a business/ computer educator I am able to teach my students visually which is how I prefer to learn. Students learn through hands- on approach where they are learning and practicing new skills immediately. I feel it is important to make their learning relevant to their lives. Although that is impossible to do all of the time, it is something that I strive to incorporate into my lessons. • Because technology is always changing I feel it is important to keep up with technology so I am able to change my teaching delivery to accommodate future generations of students. I hope as a teacher that my teaching style will change to take full advantage of our changing society.
